I did a discrete maths question exaclty like this today.

How many substrings can you make of a string "n" letters long. (repitions allowed).

There should be about 10! combinations (Ten Factorial).

That = (10 x 9 x 8 x 7 x 6 x 5 x 4 x 3 x 2 x 1) many words. Obviously theres gonna be a bit less, cos IND is not a word or IBLE isn't..but just thought I'd poke ma nose in here.
