I intend to do a pure maths course at uni.

Either that, or something computer related. A level maths opens up many options ~)

Maths is a pain in the ass man but it does open a lot of doors, just about everything requires maths nowadays.

It does yup, but damn, I got stuck on some long equation yesterday night for about an hour, and I was going mental....if you cant do it, then you go crazy about it. :oh

desimack
09-05-2007, 23:03
LOL exactly.

I always loved maths cos I was good at it but what I hated was those long equations, I didn't write down the math I used to do it in my head and when those long equations came it gave me some real mean headaches.

It's still fun to do though, you can sit there for a month but once you work out the formula you can do sums in seconds.

Dude, I still count on my fingers! :oh
And yeh, I usually get penalised for not showing full working. Its a bummer most of the time cos you dont have time to put it down.
Fun? Defo, when you know wat ya doin. The only "light headed" experience I will probly get is once I finish those exam papers in two weeks time and walk out that exam hall! :D

desimack

lol@count on fingers

I'm a tidy person it's not my nature to do all that working out so I didn't like it but you usually got extra points for it

you can do that from going into things after the course, such as sports management, physio etc etc. does lots of different modules, which then you can carry on.

my physio makes buxx! she charges me £80/session and i have 2 1hr sessions every month..

yea there is alot of money in physio.
i dont think as much in the NHS if you are assigned to them, but if you do it in your own business, or especially if you do it in sports such as rugby, football etc etc. thats where the money is for physio.

Voodookid
11-05-2007, 02:35
my physio is kinda a mate so she doesnt charge me her full rate! but i only use her cuz shes gud and i aint payin over the odds.

Man I need to give this more though.

I've done IT and Engineering in the past and I liked them.

With IT I could get into a profitable business, Engineering is a challenge and exicitng and biomedical sciences for the sake of doing something completely different.

Now you got me thinking bout Sports Psychology I wanted to do that last year.

Digital Media Development and Design sounds interesting, I've never even heard of it looks like it's going everything in a package.

I think I'm just going to do a year with the Army or a foundation degree to test the waters.

11-05-2007, 02:42
for the course i did u need an excellent portfolio of design and atleast 4 references from tutors and employers. its 1 yr work placement based and 3 yrs uni based! also its 1 of the hardest courses to complete if ur wantin to go into a design field! only 25% of students taking the course come out with gud results and out of the 25% only3% get a job!

i was in, passed everything, passed medical etc etc,
just at the end my mama said she didnt want me going in didnt like the idea,
and obv gotta keep the mother happy so, it didnt happen and ended up going to uni. but being in the RAF would have been ... amazing.
