Now most of us have seen or at least heard of SRK's Devdas which was a remake of the Dilip Kumar classic.
Now Anurag Kashyap is making a modern version set in todays times. Got to say the trailers got me very interested. Looks a very dark film and very hard hitting as it involves drugs and not just alcohol like the original. Check it out.

Though no one posted I'm going to put my review in case someone gets interested. Finished it yesterday.
Brilliant film. I was quite bored by Devdas. Though I do think Dev.D does drag in bits the content itself is so much more in your face and not masked by the landscape. Also loved the awesome soundtrack. One of the best I've ever heard. What a great mix of rock music to traditional wedding music to some that I don't even know the genre for. It was quite innovative. Performances were great. I knew Abhay Deol would rock and he was superb. The 2 debutants were very strong too. Can't say either was better then each other. Kalki has such a beautifully odd face... I love looking at her. Of course the credit should go to Anurag Kashyap who has delivered a masterpeice imo. I loved the references to the other Devdas and the whole look of the film. The way it changes from bright fields to murky alleyways. Great stuff.

Yeah, you should check it out. It's definitely very interesting and quite psychological. Reminds me of shakespeare for some reason.

yeaah, i mean midway I did think 'What the hells going on', but it was nicely wrapped up.
It's pretty crude, watch it if your not easily offended.
Attack me cause I say shit. That's that way of curving that they had me as a favourite. |

'How old are you?'
*in brilliant english accent* 'Old enough to go to bed with you darling'. Not sure why that cracked me up lol.
