HOW DO YOUTUBE MAKE THEIR MONEY???

..I JUS DONT GEDIT, CAN SOMEONE CARE TO EXPLAIN IT FOR ME? HAS IT GOT ALOT TO DO WITH FREE LABOUR..I JUS DONT GET IT, SUM KINDA NON-MONETARY VALUE..IF SO, WHY DID GOOGLE BUY THEM OUT? PLZ IM GOIN INSANE HERE...

i know you prolly seen ^^ this on Zoned's thread..but yeah plz..im doin this assignment(strategy)..and i cant seem to work it out or put my finger on it..
isnt the viewers, the members who make youtubes money? so in dat dat way we are workin for them for free? wheres the value? how is it made..what do you guys thinks?..i'd really appreciate all your comments..

How does that website produce value THO?
and how does it transform that value into money?

basically what i think they do is have a click and pay system, so companies and organisations will give them so many millions every yr for advertising and then for each viewer/customer that clicks on der link.. so much is charged from the kitty or money pot.. its the same system as google, they make money the same way using a system called AdSense.

with youtube getting more than 20million unique visits per month, u can imagine if each customer clicked on a paid link and youtube charged 1p for each click..

there will also be endorsments/investments and share holdings..

with more and more ISP (internet service providers) cropping up and more technology, sooner or later youtube will become a paysite too, if not then they will have pay services and most likely big shot isp's will cash in on this too with privelidged rights for their customers. and no doubt they have already caught on to this and are already investing millions in the company. its like napster, now der a full blown endorsment company that makes millions on advertising as well as the selling of their product.

if any of you use BitTorrents.. the actual company BitTorrent has just signed a multimillion doller contract with media tychoons such as paramount, MTV and 20th century fox. in february 2007 they are going to lauch a service that will allow paying customers the ability to download movies and tv shows on a pay per download scheme and they will be able to download full HDTV quality dvds and shows on dates of release too.

so to sum it up for u. the way companies as such make the money is thru advertising/endorsments and investments.. usually equalling millions of dollers each year.
