What are your favourite childhood sweets?
I was having this conversation with someone at work today... ahhh, brought back some memories... I loved all the penny chews like the pink shrimps, also flying saucers, fruit salads, cola bottles, fried eggs, banana and strawberry toffo's, wham bars, sherbet dib dabs... hehe. They used to sell something called 'booty bags' in my local shop which had a combination of the above delights and my bro and I used to fight over the sticker once we had gobbled all the sweeties...
There's no jealousy in the grave... |

lol cola bottles before i knew they were haraam though there was a point where I knew it was but was in denial...
OMG who remembers those flick lollies?!! They were really popular! Forgot the name?

FLIP POP! loooool I still remember the advert for that...anyone who had that was considered uber cool.
And I think every muslim kid was in denial when it was revealed that cola bottles were haram...  My faves were: Cola bottles, The sugar cola bottles...red and white with sherbet.. The milk cola bottles...red and pink. The fizzy cola bottles...turquoise and pinkish... Fried eggs...(when I had my haribo...NOONE was allowed these). Maoam... Strawberry lips... Sherbet straws... But the big daddy? Strawberry laces...!

we got a pack of the straw sherbets one
and we can get halal cola bottles now from my local shop but yeh we were al in deyal about them there so yummy ohh fried eggs i loved those!

Cola bottles,
The fizzy cola bottles...turquoise and pinkish... Fried eggs...(when I had my haribo...NOONE was allowed these). Maoam... Strawberry lips... Sherbet straws... omdayzz those are legendary... i remeber we used to all fight over sherbet staws... i still eat strawberry lips ^_^
