Whos Online PROBLEM

right ive noticed something strange...
it seems when ppl are online, when they log out, there name does not seem to vanish...
ive noticed some mebers leave an all of a sudden there name is still active, just say they left at 11.01
...

it will stay there as if there still active... yestaday i logged off at 11.00
an when i went to my uncles house went on his interent..an notcied my name was still showin on whos online... :S an said 11.00

im not sure if im makin sence.

but the name does vanish 1 hours time...as i calculated using kish (reload) as bait

Basically its normal, when you say "you logged out" you didnt actually really log out of AP but from your PC.

The Log is only active for 1 hour like you say. If you dont do anything on AP and your last activity was at 11:00 then it will always show 11:00, but if you have not been active for an hour or more it will log you out of AP automatically and your name will no longer be showing on the who's online.

However if you press the "log out" button from AP before closing the window, then it will log you out and take you off the online list. The session for keeping the users logged in for 1 hour atleast is to save you from always logging in again. If you were browsing a website other than AP and was watching a video else where then surely when you come back to AP you dont want to log in again do you? As its only been a few mins, hence the log out sessions set to 1 hour. However i have seen other forums where they have more than 6 hours lol now thats bad!


But yea.. if you want to stop appearing on the who's online then you must log out properly closing your session before logging off from your pc.

If you get confused, its best to view their profile or view the whos online and see the time for when they were last active... it will give you a rough idea for when they were last browsing the forum.
