And I don't mean like away at uni or anything. I mean like you don't live with your family? I just want to know a bit about what kind of accomodation is good for a single person. I'm talking about renting, is it better to share a house with a bunch of strangers or to rent your own apartment or what?

i dont, but i think it'd prob be better 2 live on ur own than with strangers..... u dnt knw wht they like...... if its with mates, than thts not 2 bad either, least u dnt have to be wary of them, except 4 pranks, but thats it.... u knw u can trust them, whts good bad about them etc.

oh sorry u were lookin for advice? i was just singin about myself...

i've bought my own house so i'm not wanting to share. the good thing is my mates kip over sometimes so its aight.

i think u shud rent first - get the experience - see if its for you. rent on ur own see if u can meet the financial requirements - renting with others puts major stress on any friendship i wouldnt recommend it.

make sure u speak to the landlord about all the costs etc see if its included in the rent or not.

I know what you mean, I've been trying to get out for years too. Stuff's starting to tip me over the edge recently and everyone wonders why I've been doing alot of overtime these days. Obviously to get away from them! But I reckon the only way out for me is to get married but even that's gonna take time. If I think about this properly and atleast find somewhere before I blow my top atleast I've got somewhere to go. Usually I do things without thinking but this time I'm thinking about it first.

with rents, I thought of getting my own pad and even told my parents, they were kool with it for when I get married. but I've changed my mind, I can't leave them alone, it wouldn't be good for them not having me and/or my sis around and even when I go away for weeks here n there eventually I miss my fam.

I was away for three years and didn't really miss them but atleast when I went back to visit it was good and I got along with them much better. This time it's not about me but I can't take much longer, it puts me in a bad mood from when I wake up and I even cried this morning because there's nothing I could do and I was upset all day at work.

everyone's circumstances are different and it totally depends on you and how you would deal with being on your own, if your fine with it and want to do it then do it.

It's not about paying my own way or even having freedom because I'm slowly starting to get it with my parents, they don't mind me going out at night anymore. It's about something that's slowly tearing my family apart and it's happening everyday now and I can't handle it at the moment with all the work I have to do and stressing about finding another job, I just need time to myself and I can't do that whilst I'm living at home. Plus this thing that's going on, it's not about me but I just need to get away.
