Default Who Determines...?

Who determines, what is right or wrong?

What is right and wrong which EVERYONE can say, 'yup thats wrong' or 'thats right'? Something which everyone can agree upon...

For e.g. Some of us may say Paedophillia is wrong, but groups in Holland are calling for relationships between children and Adults to be accepted... right or wrong?

So who determines what is right and wrong? Or is what we see with our eyes, what makes stuff right or wrong?

Good thread.

So many answers to it. People love to say, "each to their own". But thats rubbish. Theres clearly standards to adhere to. Rules to abide by.
Society these days govern whats right and whats wrong. Governments as well. Probably because they lack faith in God. One shouldn't really say don't bring religion into this argument but you have to. As limited as we humans are, we need to seek from a higher source of knowledge. If the argument was that the first human's decided whats right or wrong, or the first clever government after the signing of the magna carta, decided what whas good and bad, then surely there would've been biased rules? The only place to look for real right and wrong is from God himself. And don't say God and religion are two different things. To believe in God, you believe in a religion. Because religion is what God wanted you to do. And how do you know what God wants you to do? By that funny little feeling in your little toe or that scratching at the tip of your nose? I think not...

it was religion. many people say thats why religion was created - to give the effect of whats right and wrong.

with the increasing collapse of religion in modern society its all getting blurred and the beaurecrats will make those choices
