Relatives staying over...

Has anyone found their relatives/mehmaan that kip over, to be incredibly selfish? . I live in a 3 bedroom house in the ghettos of east london. I've got my mama(uncle), puppy(auntie) and my gran staying over.

The uncle came a few days earlier and with the little house we have, we managed to accomodate him by fitting two super kingsize beds into the dining room area. As we were expecting the aunt and gran to arrive later we thought they would have no problem with sharing this gigantic spare bed in the room- just for 2 days, as my uncle was going to leave by then.

My gran and aunt arrived to the house and selfishly claimed both beds, by leaving their dupateh and tasbihs on each one, this left my uncle in quite the kerfuffle. It was late at night, say 1am. so my parents gave him their bed.

Now, I like to go sleep naked, I can't go sleep with any piece of clothing on, not even my boxers. I'm lying their half asleep, stark raving nanga and my mum and dad come in, my dad said 'dont worry stay asleep' before I could react he picked up my blanket and he was in for quite the surprise.

Absoloutely pissed off. The end.

We had relatives stay over once the guy had o sleep in my room , i was fine with it as i pretty much live with my fella. but when i returned the next day i found he had gone through my shit and helped himself to my laptop, hoody, and toiletries..now thats fucking rude!!

Im not allowed to lock my door though coz my mum gets worried if something happens to me and she can't get to me...
and i sleep in my undies, But my parents are well trained... they KNOCK FIRST

We have enough space for mehmaan when they come over.
Though my mom has always been one to set things straight, so they're either scared into being extremely selfLESS or just don't stay the night lol.

I think its pretty selfish though when they impose their stay on you, and sometimes they don't even ask properly. It's like its their opportunity to luxuriate in other peoples houses. They fail to realise that a family actually live in the same house.

What's wrong with hotels these days...

wen i have cuzens...they stay at my brothers room....and sisters and mum and dad room....

my dad jus sleeps on the spare bedroom in the living room basement room....
woohooo 5 bedroom house....

but i remeber when we used to stay at grans ill end up....being the oen stayin over at my big auntys house
it sux there....since everyone of her damn kids at my grans yard......an me on my jays......at thier house....but now im an adult an drive i jus end up going home

We have plenty of spare rooms.

Whenever my cousins or sisters come round, they just sleep in the 2 spare rooms.

People should respect other people in their homes whether they be family or friends.

But you should do your utmost to shelter family and friends when the time comes. Give them what you have if they need it and they should appreciate and treat that thing with respect and with greater care than if it were their own. They should not out stay their welcome and repay in kindness (not money) what they are now due.

Keep things like this and shit stays sweet, but the thing about Asians is they don't do this. Especially Pakistanis.

They will come into your house, complain that you didn't look after them well enough, use your stuff, break it, dirty it and invade your privacy. Talk about you, make noise when you're tryna sleep. Be ungrateful and bitch about you to people they know with their new inside knowledge of your everday life.

And sometimes the host, doesn't want you there, is two-faced so having you in the house so its difficult for them; as they have to put up a front in their own home. Don't want to give you their things because they think you will dirty it, doesn't feed you, doesn't keep the spaces they offer to you clean and hospitable as they do their own spaces.

If everyone played their role, there would be no problem...... But fuckers like to take the piss....

My family are actually quite selfless (excluding my sisters), so when people come round we do our best to make them feel comfortable.
That usually means we give up our beds, our yummy food, and our privacy.

We have guests so often, that dad chucked a kingsized bed in what was meant to be our study.

The only problem we have is that our guests are usually male.
Our house is full of females.
We have to change our whole lifestyle to accomodate these people.

What's worse is most of them don't even show any gratitude.
