I think it would be better to show the best rated products for each one.

I use.......

Whey Protein Isolate
Vit C 1000mg
Calcium with vit A&D (I think) 1000mg
Multi Vit
Maltodextrin and Dextrose (for post workout shake)
Mutant Mass weight gainer (although don't use it much)
L-Glutamine, or something like that

Thats it I think, depending on how im doing in 4 months I might get back onto Creatine.

spider, I wrote this big thing on glutamine how amazing the sh1t is. I will get it on here 2nite.

P.S spiking your insulin levels after training with glucose/dextrose is the way to go. But i wrote a really good thing about Glutamine. I will have to post here.

Hey bro.

we all know dat protein synthesis can be impaired by an OVERnutrition of certain aminos. This can happen when we stick to the same protein sources day in day out. So, in this respect, amino acid supplementation can get very confusing. What I will say is that you would be better off making sure each feeding is made up from at least two first class protein sources, rather than just one. If it is just one then a broad spectrum amino may be beneficial.

So if you'd have 2oz of steak, have one ounce and an ounce of chicken breast too at the same meal.

But, as stated it can get very confusing and unnecessary, especially whilst bulking as its not so important imo. Dieting perhaps its more relevant.

I'm more one for concentrating on my post workout nutrition as I believe this is where some can make mistakes. For instance, my PWO shake now consists of not just whey but also taurine and extra glutamine. I also take an amino product high in alanine.

Whey is a bit low in alanine, contains no taurine and although reasonable in glutamine its not enough for BB'ers. Glutamine and alanine are released in large quantities during intense exercise. The brain and immune system receive high priority for glutamine allocation. Any glutamine not allocated to these functions may then be shuttled over for cellular repair in the muscles.

Glutamine is the most abundant amino acid in muscle tissue (50 Taurine is the second at 25%. Alanine next. So you can see that its very important to focus on these aminos especially when bulking (adding muscle) as if there's not enough, there's no growth, no matter how many drugs are in there.

I was looking for a good glutamine supplement as ive been relying on whey and free form glut. Glutamine is a very unstable amino on its own (free form) and even then its scavenged by the gut lining before any can get through for transport to the muscle. Ok if taken with whey as it has glut in bonded form so more of this goes through so its not a useless product as some would want you to believe.

In essence id get some Glutamine ethyl ester, some taurine and some alanine to add to your PWO shake for bulking purposes and covering all bases as you stated.

Then, eat fucking everything you see....

My PWO shake consists of 75g carbs (malto and dex) and 25g whey isolate (although im going to get a protein specifically for PWO), I also add some l-glutamine, 5g.

Do you suggest I add that stuff just to my PWO, but what will help protein absorption on non workout days and other times?

Also I heard the body can't absorb more than 25-35g of protein per 2/2.5 hrs anyway?

Firstly your body can absorb more protein directly after you work out. And the absorbtion level IMO depends on the Insulin level in your body. So thats why I would always take Glucose straight after my workout. This would spike the Insuin levels 'naturaly' 15-20mins later I will take my protein/ l glutmaine together.

The body absorbs protein as and when it needs it, its just if its there or not when it needs it, is the issue. Also in correct ratios of aminos at the AA/nitrogen pool.

What these ratios are for you at any one given time is a whole other ball game and encompasses lots of factors.

IMHO.

Methoxyisoflvaone is okay for an older guy if must. But not to the extent you probs want to use it for. However Tribulus would be a better choise IMHO. I dont use all these supps, however ALOT of them I do rate and I have used Methoxyisoflvaone which wouldnt be in my top 10!

as to platinose, it's just a form of carb which is derived from sucrose, which I sometimes use in my shakes.
