Tuesday, March 24, 2009 From Abdul Mohi Shah ISLAMABAD: Pakistan will play to their strength in a five-match one-day series against Australia and the committee constituted to monitor the pitch preparations has been given authority to prepare suitable tracks. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ijaz Butt has given all the powers to the committee, constituted recently to look into the pitch preparations for the series against Australia starting from April 22 in United Arab Emirates. The committee consists of Aaqib Javed, Agha Zahid, Intikhab Alam, Younis Khan and Yawar Saeed. Aaqib has been given a lead role to monitor the pitch preparations with the help and coordination of other members of the committee. Pakistan coach Intikhab Alam when contacted said that all efforts would be made to prepare pitches keeping in mind the positives of Pakistan cricket. “Since matches against Australia in UAE are like a home series for Pakistan, we will do all we could to prepare the tracks that suit our bowlers and batsmen and at the same produce good cricket for the spectators,” he said.
