After Mohammad Yousuf, two more Pakistan discards - Abdul Razzaq and Rana Naved-ul-Hasan - have offered to return to national duty after getting 'released' by the unofficial Indian Cricket League (ICL). Razzaq, once regarded as one of the world's most talented all-rounders, said on Sunday that the ICL has released him and other Pakistani cricketers and they are now eager to revive their international careers. "We have all received clearances from the ICL and are now free to sign new agreements," he said. Razzaq is one of about twenty Pakistani cricketers who were banned by Pakistan after associating themselves with the rebel ICL. Mohammad Yousuf, Pakistan's premier batsman, was the first ICL rebel who indicated that he wants to return to national duty. Now Razzaq, Naved-ul-Hasan and a few others are all set to follow suit. Sources said on Sunday that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is now seriously considering bringing back some of the ICL rebels in the national team ahead of this June's World Twenty20 Championship in England. The Board has already sent an inquiry to the International Cricket Council (ICC) over the issue as it wants to get a clearance from the sport's ruling body before recalling players like Yousuf and Razzaq. Meanwhile, Pakistan is not the only country that seems set to take back its ICL rebels. ![]()
