Kolkata knocks Rajashtan out of IPL
DURBAN: Defending champion Rajasthan Royals’ IPL 2 campaign ended disastrously as they failed to qualify for the semi-finals losing to Kolkata Knight Riders by 4 wickets. Kolkata Knight Riders inflicted a body-blow to Shane Warne’s hope of continuing his fairy-tale in IPL. Despite being restricted to a paltry 101/9, Royals, led-by inspiring skipper Shane Warne, fought till the end, but could not prevent them from overhauling the target with 3 balls to spare. KKR all-rounder Laxmi Ratan Shukla played a brilliant knock of unbeaten 48 under tremendous pressure to give his team successive victories after having lost eight straight matches in IPL 2.
