If it is the same one my dads old boss fell for it too... Poor guy paid £4600...

a few years back someone in blackburn/accrington did the same thing though he was eventually caught and jailed.
no ones ever trusted anyone from his friends/family ever again in this area.

To be honest, I'm surprised it doesn't happen often.

Yes i can tell you the tour company was called Qibla Travels or something and they were based in Brick Lane.. i think they tried to do something similar just like a previous company who went bankrupt which was First Solution a money transfer company. They even advertised on local asian television to get as many peoples money as possible! Well did anybody hear of a company called First Solution? They did something similar, they were a money transfer company but they declared bankruptcy. I think this happened last year. But the locals say they actually stole the money... as it never arrived at their chosen destination to loved ones who needed it back home. I remember First Solution. Took half my student loan money. It was meant to be for new toilets in my house, in time for my holiday.

This was the 2nd top story on BBC London News today. There was a poor old guy who'd saved for ages so him and his wife and daughter could go. Spent over 5 grand bechara.
