The Chinese are investing in a 7 star hotel to be built in Islamabad

There are only two 7 star hotels in the world right now and both are in Dubai.

This is a huge opportunity for Pakistan if it catchs on Pakistan might have a chance of modernizing!

Lets hope they don't fuck it up as usual!

LOL na the reason theyr building this is because they want to test new architecture and see how well it does.

If it catchs on they'll start doing more and more, in 20 years Pakistan's major cities will put Dubai to shame.

Yeh by then other countries will be another few hundred years ahead!

LOL na the building itself has been confirmed they have the contract for a 7 star hotel but the design is at around 70% not certain yet.

I think completion date is 2011 so this probably is the final design.

The surrounding areas will knock it down from a 7 star to a 2 or a 3 star anyway lol

Pakistan is country that needs modernization within the ppl. The ppl are wat makes a country. U can put all the 5 star 6 star hotels, buildings u want....but if ther are gna be run by uneducated, corrupted ppl, I say that is not a step forward.

Not really.

See the thing is China are investing in interests in Paksitan and China from a liquid cash perspective are the richest country in the world.

They would build in their own cities but they don't really have room in Hongkong and Shanghai is hard to get a project going.

So they turn to Pakistan and pour billions into development.

The only other place getting so much money is Dubai.

Dubai is like an architectural experiment too theyr putting money in those buildings to see if it's feasable over the long term to have an architecture like that.

If Pakistan gets more contracts after this one theyr on a roll, other countries won't replicate the architecture for maybe 20 or 30 years.

i know it's bad 2 think this.. but u kno any fundin goin 2wards development is gonna b eaten up by the peckin order.. end result is shitty buildin but oh look the paki buildin supervisors r drivin range rovers...

Well it'll probably have big plasma screens, a special dining room.

7 star hotels are uber-hotels with no expense spared they cost hundreds of millions or even billions to make.

LOL Pakistan are barely involved in anything at all theyr not even paying for the building
