I love football but one of the things I dislike about football is how big it is.
It steals attention away from other sports like cricket and rugby and doesn't give them a chance to grow. I think if football was a bit smaller we'd have more popular sports in this nation and everybody wouldn't be hooked just on one sport. What do you think?
I mean nobody likes me, everybody hates me, keep that shit coming, watch how much stronger it makes me!
Its not like I idolize this Machiavelli I idolize that type of thinking where you do what evers gonna make you achieve ur goals |

Your right.
It takes away the limelight from the othersports, which means as a nation we'll never really expand on other sports. The reason why the England cricket team etc aren't too great is because of lack of interest. More people are swayed towards Football at a young age compared to other sports. England has alot of potential, it really does but it comes down to things like interest, and funding. However every country has this problem, but with specific sports. For example Pakistan, India with Cricket. People are fixated on certain things, therefore leading them to only be interested in that. I don't think Football should be cut down as such, but other sports promoted just as much. |

Well yes but is cricket TOO big in pakistan and india?
Even the second biggest sports are no where near in terms of fanbase and revenue in those countries (in India I think its hockey?). As you say its kind of in your blood if your from one of those countries but in england its football thats no.1 yet rugby, tennis etc. still gets a lot of attention on the big stage (wimbledon, 6 nations etc.), not as much as football but still a lot more than other sports in other countries. I think USA is probably the only place where theres a 2/3 sports that have a big fanbase, following, t.v coverage etc.
