Suppose you're filthy rich/average rich or just plain financially stable. Would you pass on your wealth to your family i.e. kids if you're married or family, or give it to the poor?

If i was filthy rich like I had 100s of millions of pounds. I would give a little percentage to my family, wife etc. But not too much to fck their lives up. the Rest i would donate.

I was just stable rich had a few hundred grand. I would most likely leave it for my wife n kids. A small precentage towards charity.

It depends on how much i had.

If i was disgustingly rich, i would give some to my intial family to support them and help them to pay off any debts they had etc. And then some to my own kids.....and the rest to charity as theres always some blessing in that.

It'd be a split of course. Give some for the family and leave most for the poor. Gotta respect Bill Gates for that.

Gotta think of the family first, split it equally and whatever is left over can go to the poor.

Well. it would depend on how wealthy I was....

To be honest. If I was only plain financially stable, or just average-ly rich.
I wouldnt actually directly pass much onto to the poor (unless its neccessary in religion to do so with money thats left behind) maby just a small amount.
But my first priority would be family.

Obviously while I was alive. Id do my bit and give to the poor as much as I could.
but after im gone. Id want my family to be able to cope and thats just being honest. so Id let my family decide wether they decide to pass any of theirs on to the poor..x

BUT

If I was filthy rich. then yeah Id give like 70% out to my children/family/friends (the close close ones)
and the remaining 10% to charity. and 20% to the poor back home....
....and thats just being totally honest.x

Well as Incredible said, you don't wanna fuck up your children. How will your children know what to do with the money they possess. What would happen if the money runs out? How will they cope?

Most of the replies I've seen stated they would wanna take care of family first, who wouldn't right? Gotta realise they won't have a clue what struggle is and how to survive without being well off.

At first I was angry as to why my father cut off funds but he did it so that I get a taste of what its like. Its hard but you still get by.

hhmm. your dad does have a point ina way.

Imagine if you did inherit a huge amount of money. and you were so comfortable that you'd turned lazy. few weeks/months/years? down the line. its all "gone"

then what?

because you were so comfortable with that large amount of money, you had no worries. and didnt have to work full time ect. spend without thinking twice.
never saving up. little things like that can become habits.

By your dad limiting your funds. you'l respect money more I guess because you've worked hard for it.....x

First and foremost the family, then donate 'x' amount to charities.

If I had enough money to be able to give to people, I'd save it in a pot.
For youth groups and community centres.
I'd always put something aside for my brother, but no one else in my family.
