Yep, sounds fab! Want to do something where I also learn about myself, who I am. I would do volunteering work abroad e.g Africa, cos there's meaning to it, spirituality, but don't know if I could afford it.

I think the Lecturers said it was all a bit dodge.
Then again, I'm thinking of WWOOFing around, so I can't talk about safety.

Oooh Camp America! I havent heard of it being dangerous. But people have said how disorganised it is.
But I think that only applies if you lay about and have no organisational skills yourself too!
I had an opportunity to take next year out to go to univeristy in Athens as part of my Classics degree. All the rich culture and archaeology and ohh.. it excites me thinking about it.
Like you guys though, parents hit the roof. All the missed opportunities... :(
And I guess priorities change.
Still, I totally die a little inside when I think about it. Meh.

I remember at college, my French and Spanish teachers begged me to apply for an Erasmus project or something.
It would've involved studying in either France or Spain for a year.
My parents complained to the Principle.

gota mate who did camp america in miami, he loved it, helped kids out during the day, had the evenings to himself and of course there were parties.

My friend has just got back from camp canada she said it was a life changing experiance.
Ive always wanted to travel around the states NY and CA have always been a dream to visit . So instead of dreaming about it ive decided to just make it happen!
Been working loads of over time to get the dosh rolling in , done my research and boom. Im booking my ticket in Jan. Plan to go for the whole summer. Putting my studies on hold but its the perfect time to do it so why the hell not?!
