lol, nah its not a project or anyfin, ive finished uni, it was just a question that i was asked and the iniitial answer i came out with was No they dont but then i couldnt justify why not, but then i was thinking well if u dont follow the quran then you are going to hell, so i got confused and posted the question on here,

from the replies ive read, i think the best way to look at it is if your a good person with a good heart, then you will go to heaven, but then again you could be a good person and still drink alcohol, and eat haram stuff, then what happens.

Irfan, perhaps you need to understand it from whose point of view you’re looking at it from. For example, if you’re Muslim who practises your religion to the fullest then you might view anyone who is non-Muslim as going to hell. However, if you’re of another religion where such beliefs are held (ie. anyone who is not of that faith will not go to heaven) or if you don't believe in God or any higher power, your point of view is different again. You will see it not as what religion you follow, but perhaps how you behave morally and ethically in your life. At the end day, that is really the underlying factor in all religions - morals, ethics and values.

as to other religions believing that others will go to hell...not entirely true, hinduism and buddhism ( not sure about sikhism ) believe all paths will lead to the same destination dependent on your deeds in the current life..

Correct me if im wrong but does hinduism not say cremation is compulsory when a hindu person has passed away... As they believe in reincarnation. So just out of curiosity how does this topic relate to hindu people as we seemed to have a lot comment from the islamic point of view.

any one case to explain so i can get a better understanding.

Not sure, but isn't Moksha the final place for Hindus?
I guess there's not really Hell, just, you get "demoted" to a "lower" being if you haven't lived a good life.

Being demoted isn't what you want.
You'd have to spend another lifetime trying to get back to where you were previously.

its not heaven, but when you achieve it ...u'll feel like ur in heaven...its like an orgasm lasting forever..

to answer the question on cremation...yes for most hindus is compulsory but those are exempt from it are young children and those who've dedicated their entire life to spirituality...hence one who has reached nirvana no longer needs to be cremated...cremation is like the process of rebirth of the spirit, like the phoenix bird who dives into the fire and is reborn but for one who's reached the highest state of spirituality cremation to free the spirit and re-incarnation is no longer necessary thus these people don't need to be cremated...

i've probably missed some things there, but i think it's something like that...
