Our policy is to inform you of the status of each of our products so
you can decide if it is a drink for you. Let me explain why. Some of our products contain a very tiny trace amount of ethanol-maximum 0.055%-and most of them contain much less than this. Ethanol is an alcohol widely used in soft drinks for extracting or dissolving flavours which is authorised for use under EU law for this purpose. The concentration is so low that it hav no intoxicating effect and a product containing this amount would generally be regarded as accaptable within a Halal diet. I read a fatwa the other day that said it is allowed to drink drinks that contain stupidly small amounts of alcohol because there is no chance at all, you will become intoxicated from drinking that drink.

Jew know what, I haven't read the Fatwa yet, but I reckon that if you consume something containing non intoxicant alcohol, without the intention that you'll become pissed off it. It's orite.. Like some cologne spray or anti bacterial dry hand wash. Coz in Islam action is with intention, just like when we pray, we intend to pray, we pray. Your intention of prayer (is it for God, or for show) is known. So when you drink a Rubicon for the lovely mangowee (TradeMarked word now) taste, then if it has ethenol in it, small amount of whatever, then it ain't no thing.....

Most of those scaremongering emails are written by sensationalist homo-in-the-bum-sexuals.....

Daftness, you wouldn't get drunk from rubicon... and if someone wanted to get drunk, their first thought wouldn't be "oh hand me that carton of rubicon I'm about to do somethin crazy"...

And like Voodoo mentioned, alcohol is permitted if medicinal....

I wonder how many muppets will start drinking rubicon and acting tipsy now...
