Well maybe because he is content and happy staying just right where he is and doing what he is for all those years. I mean he don't have to promote himself if he don't want to. It depends on what you want and what you will be happy with at the end of the day.

Reaching the top may not always be needed for people to be happy and content. Its not always about getting promoted and earning as much money as you can. Its about self satisfaction and self content. People have different expectations some have high some have low.

At the end of the day.. im sure we can all agree that people with or without degrees can do very well and be happy.Note: Dont ask me what my definition of "very well" is.

I know different people have different defintions of very well according to their own personal expectations.

It's not whether degrees hold any value or not anymore. Number one it's the concept of everyone wanting to get a higher education, and number two it's every educational institution whether good or bad providing the educational service wanting to financially reap in the benefits of government and student funding.

It's the quality that counts in education, everyone with a good classification from a good university background doing a good degree, most definately gets a good job. On the contrary someone from a poor university, doing a meagre course, getting a meagre classification will find it extremely difficult getting a good job in the relevant field.
