i reckon the bengalis abroad are now making good bengal tracks esp when they get the remix right. anyway my initial request was for people to tell me whats there fav bengali track so i can look them up and hear as i like bengali tracks but not so good in findin them like western music as they more mainline.

I absoutely hate songs like Zalaya Gelai, and Ruper Maya...

But, anyone ever heard of Srabonti? She did some really nice songs back in the days.
Aye Kuku Aye is a personal favourite.

And Oh My Gosh.
Manna Dey, Coffee House. How can you not love that classic?
I also like a song he did, don't know the proper name.
I think it's something like, "Tobu Keno Jol Ashe" or "Puthul Meye"
Oh, and it was him, I think, who sang "Shey Amar Chotto Bon".. I absolutely love that song.

I don't know why I didn't mention this song before, but "Ami Banglai Gaan Gai" is so beautiful.

Oh, and the other day, my mother was watching something on TV.
Some guy called Haider?
With Frizzy hair?
One of the verse goes like, (translated) "I've seen what needs to be seen, I've done what needs to be done"
(Dekbar *something* dekechi etc)
I can't remember the tune, or anything, but, My God, it was such a powerful and moving song.
