    Thanks for this man!

I'm seriously thinking of applying. Though I need to read more about the programme and wether they'd clash with any possible retakes of modules in the summer.

Hm. It would defo be an experience!

I heard about this ages agoo...

I even printed of the forms to apply for it.. but then alot of shit happened..

and now i'm not sure if i even tried i would be able to do it this summer cuz of other things bros nikah etc blah blah..

plus i don't know how i'd go down with the parents but i'm not giving up on it...

the good thing is the 10 weeks can be anytime in the year.. so let it be the summer of December or whatever whenever its good for you so i might do it next summer or something...

Here are the application deadlines for the next 3 departures. There will be placements in every country we work in and each project within that country. Please click on the Destinations tab to find out where you could go.

    - May departure: application deadline 23rd March

    - August departure: application deadline 26th May

    - October departure: application deadline 27th July

Damn dates are quite dodgy. :S

I think if you wanted to go you'd either have to miss some exams and do them when you come back or miss start of Uni. Neither is very appealing... Sigh I really want to apply as well.

A good friend of mine who started volunteering with me is going off to Ghana in March.
I really wanted to go along with her.

But sometimes you have to compromise, to keep the peace.

Hopefully, sometime in the not-too-distant future, I'll be able to volunteer abroad.
I've got amazing links with New Zealand, that I'm so excited about.
...but I can't do it, now.

    Guji, call them up.
They can put you through to other voluntary organisations doing the same thing, but with different time scales.

    Don't give up, darling.

...Unless, of course, your parents are arses, like mine.

Yeah my dad is... It's no point pleading. He already give me a half an hour(angry) lecture on what I should be doing this summer instead.

At this moment in time, I'm still dependent on the parents.

But, after I've sorted myself out, I'm doing whatever the hell I want.

Platform 2 is all expenses paid, AND it's a good cause... I don't see why I should NOT go.
