Wellington: New Zealand beat India by five wickets in the second and final Twenty20 cricket match at Westpac stadium in Wellington on Friday. With this cleansweep, New Zealand won the two-match series 2-0. The victory ends the two-match Twenty20 international series.

Brendon McCullum, who saw his team through with an unbeaten fifty in the first T20I, repeated the same and ensured the Kiwis won the match in the very last delivery of the tie.

Earlier, propelled by a brilliant half century by Yuvaraj Singh, India made 149 runs for six in the stipulated 20 overs after New Zealand captain Daniel Vettori won the toss and elected to field. Ravindra Jadeja, who came into the side for this contest, played a breezy knock of 19 runs until he tried to loft a Southee delivery but failed to get the elevation and holed out to Guptill at long-off. Irfan Pathan joined Dhoni and remained unbeaten on 15 runs.

India have now lost 3 matches out of the last four Twenty20 Internationals they have played - one against Australia at Melbourne on February 1, 2008 and two against New Zealand in the just concluded series. India have lost all their three games to New Zealand.

For the first time, India have lost two successive T20 games and Yusuf got his first duck in Twenty20 Internationals and Suresh Raina as well!
