Nothing yet but mothers planning on making some chicken curry i believe.
Only one thing is certain--that is, nothing is certain.
If this statement is true, it is also false.

Ooh, Bav, how are you making it?

I've asked mother to get me some aubergines today.
I want to make stuffed aubergine.
I've got chicken breasts marinating in a bowl with lemon and herbs.
    Grilled chicken with melted cheese?
    I'm not sure yet.
    I just want chicken.

I've still got two galia melons, half a water melon, a pineapple and berries to get rid of.
More juices and smoothies, I guess.

Aubergines are scrumptious. Especially when cooked and eaten with greek yoghurt[/drool].

A lot of things are cooked at home. Dinner is probably the only time everyone sits together and eats so a big emphasis is made to make some yummy dishes that would tickle the palate.

Mom's really good at making soups and vegetable dishes; shes always going on about how we all MUST eat it and NEVER neglect it for the sake of meat, even if it tastes blergh.

If meat is concerned, its usually the chicken leg part(drumstix ftw). I always tell rents to get that part anyway. Chicken breast may have bigger, more chewable pieces and shoulder maybe nicer looking on the plate but I feel that the leg has better taste than any other part. Dunno if its just me, it just seems more meaty or "game'y." Had roast leg of lamb a few times...its DELICIOUS. Turkey and Quail have also been cooked on a few occasions. Keema and Mutton are regulars.

Fish is often around too. Its usually Salmon or sometimes Cod; You can make an excellent creamy fish soup out of salmon and its really filling. Me and my big sis are big fans of Sushi, Prawns, Squid, Mussels...the lot.

Vegetables are the normal mixed veg. The others thats occasionally cooked are courgettes, turnips, okra, kerala, yam, plantain, beetroot and pumpkin; although not all in one dish.

Gawd, this thread has made me hungry.

Ciphe, please tell me your mother doesn't cook (what sounds like) a feast on her own.

    I love chicken breast.
Sometimes, if cooked too much it's dry and flaky.
But, if cooked properly, it's so Yummy.

I love my veggies, style Zed.
I crave broccoli and carrots every single day.
I love butternut squash, and pumpkins.
Courgettes and aubergines are so Yummy!
...and they're phallicNess makes me happy.

Lol it sounds like a feast but it aint...shes more in tune with the veg/fish/soups...my sister is around too if its dinnertime... Dad's much better at the meat dishes and salads when he makes them though. (my opinion).
