ok so heres the scenario.
ive been talking to someone who i met through an internet forum and hes in my city for the next month cause of his work. i know he didnt have to tell me yet he did. i happen to be out of town at the moment but i get the feeling he wants to meet up once i get back. i aint met someone off the net before. should i go for it or be cautious.

well maybe he said it because hes going to be in your area, so he probz thought u would be interested to know? well he hasnt asked u yet so dont worry lol i suggest u speak to him on the fone first see what hes like and all. most people can tell what kinda person u might be after speaking to someone on the phone. if u trust him then and he asks then why not...

If i was you I would take up a martial arts , i.e thair boxing or something just for incase hahah

in all seriousness, You should always be cautious when you meet new people, never let your guard down. As to meeting the guy, have me with you just to be on the safe side

You know you could do this.

Ask to meet him at a particular place and position yourself somewhere totally different. Wait for him to come along, so you see him before he sees you.

If you think he looks like a safe character to be around with then he's your man, if not give him a ring and say you cant make it for so and so reasons.

Secondly whatever happens always meet in a public place where theres loads of other people, like a shopping mall, town centre etc, this way you know you'll be safe.. and lastly id tell a friend where your going atleast, you dont have to tell them for what or who, just let them know your going to the city centre at a particular time...
