Slate Islam? What is your definition of slating?
You guys will think I'm "slating" Islam if I point out a fact taken directly from the Quran or Hadith. If a pious Muslim said the exact same thing (which many do) then I have a feeling you wouldn't think they're slating Islam.
Was I slating Islam when, for instance, I pointed out that the earth isn't egg-shaped in this thread? I'd like you to answer this. Would you consider that a "slate" towards Islam shelim?
On the whole, all I've ever done on this forum is correct the lies and misinformation that YOU guys post about Islam. Have you noticed that I've never created any threads myself? (except an off-shoot thread directed towards Zero).
Why can't I use that phrase Maya? Just because I left Islam do I suddenly lose the right to speak the arabic language? I've said these words before and I will continue to say them whenever I want.
This is typical of some Muslims who think they own the arabic language. Alhumdulillah means Praise to God. As a deist, I'm perfectly entitled to say that, in whatever language I want.

Issue of 'mocking'? What are you blabbing on about? I posted it randomly in the Interview Guji-Ji thread. There was no issue of mocking. Can't you handle a completely harmless tongue in cheek comment like that? I've had plenty of tongue in cheek comments hurled at me afterall, but the difference is I can take a joke and I have thick skin.

Zakir Naik is going to be in the UK between 17-27 June. His son Fariq Naik is also going to accompany him. Zakir Naik has trained his son to imitate him almost word for word.

OF COURSE people have ISSUES with the religion just like OTHER non-muslims but you hardly see them saying "alhumdullilah" and "lets do dhikr" in a mocking way. They don't take the piss. And I'd stick to my former comment.
Zero... I will continue to say alhumdulillah, inshallah, mashallah, astaghfirullah etc when I feel like it. FFS, even Christian arabs and Jewish arabs use these phrases. They aren't exclusive to Muslims. Please educate yourself.

I think the "unacceptable behaviour" that Theresa May was referring to included his reluctance to denounce Bin-Ladan, his comment that "if he's terrorising the terrorist, which is America, then I'm for him", and also his view that women who don't wear hijab/niqab are more susceptable to be raped, and that non-Muslims behave like pigs because they eat pork... and to top it off I'm sure she found it highly unacceptable that he thinks the earth is egg-shaped. That was probably the last straw.

Ok so I read up a bit into this 'Doctors' background.
Firstly - 'Dr' Zakir Naik is not and never has been a doctor in an capacity, either by having PHD honours or as a Medical Doctor ie Physician. in 1991, 19 years ago he passed his medical tests, but never even went on to practise Medicine in any form. Also your license or registration as a medical 'doctor' gets remitted if you don't keep up with the latests medical developments as new and up to date medical knowledge is always being discovered, Mr Zakir Naik has not done this. He has simply given himself the 'Dr' title so that people hold him in higher esteem.
Secondly - Dr Zakir Naik is very widely discredited, castigated & ridiculed amongst Muslims and non-Muslims equally.
Thirdly - He doesn't have any qualifications from any recognised credible Islamic Institutions or even any academic qualifications in Theology/Religion. The Imam down the road from where you live who leads Prayers for 20 people, who has a BA in Islamic Studies is more qualified and a more credible person to speak to/listen to regarding Islam
Fourthly - He has excellent memory. Memory is a purely a pre-birth attributed genetic trait, but many Muslims question his his actual knowledge on Islam. When someone asks him a question quoting the Quran/Hadith etc instead of answering the question he quotes another part of the Quran/Hadiths which he has memorised which has little relation to the question answered.
Credit where creditis due though. He’s the best marketed Religious Celebrity, the David Beckham of Religion .
