I will vote for the party that gets the most votes on here . So choose carefully.
It would also be good to hear your opinions on your choises.

was a woman lol
I always vote Labour, I know that due to their (whether it was a negative to Britain, was a positive to us) policies in the past helped the likes of our parents settle in this country a bit more freely then you can now. Anyway the other parties are worse, so even if you don't like Labour, they are still better than the Conservatives etc. I also think after this election we will see if Labour has learnt anything and if they aren't on the mend for their previous errors then it might be time for a change. The main reason people want them out is because of the immigration laws and if it wasn't them being 'weak' as called by some people then our parents or family's probably wouldn't be here, and I'm talking about the people who have settled legit now and paid their dues by working their arses off. I do agree the laws need to be tighter on the people coming over and just claiming benefits as that's not right.
From what I know and heard (and I don't know too much), David Cameron should not be put in charge or be trusted. Even if Labour are bad the other parties are worse, and it's possible the smaller parties could turn out to be better but if we start spreading our votes then the likes of BNP will have even more power and look even closer to securing more seats. So I'll stick with Labour for now.
Maybe my opinion is wrong on some facts but I don't generally get involved or look too deep into it and usually vote Labour. For people who don't vote, well even if you don't want to for your reasons at least vote for one of the main parties to keep the likes of BNP out.

Saying that, we were discussing on TS last night that Gordon Brown probably failed because he was more of a manager rather than a leader. Liberal democrats don't have much leadership. They're like a really competent programmer in a software engineering company. Ones that can do a lot of things but they still have to answer to their superiors. Perhaps Tony Blair was a b*stard, but he still was a leader. And lead is what he did, this country. My grandparents have always voted Labour from the beginning of anything. They say that Labour were good to pensioners (lol).
I really don't know now, I was going to vote Liberal Democrats, but the thing is Glenda Jackson is really too good of a local MP to vote anything else.
Although until Labour get a new PM, I'm going to vote Lib Dems. JUST to see what happens. I suggest all people who are against the War In Afghanistan and the War in Iraq to vote Lib Dems. I suggest all students that think that uni is too expensive to vote lib dems.
Even though I do believe that Lib Dems is a weak party, noone really knows much about them since they haven't been in a proper position to make things work? If that makes any sense.
Just to add though, Labour was very good with the NHS, I'll give them that. They brought it out from under the terrible John Major and turned it around..

I do agree with you and spig with what you said, it's spot on.
The truth is, it's a choise between Labour and Conservatives.
In all honesty voting for the Lib Dems is ideal but they are not going to get in power. So I need to decide who do I want in power it's either Labour or Conservatives. Which will impact us in a more positive way. I share Spigs views about cameron, there is something not right about him.

Labour would have been good if Gordon got his act together, Lib Dem wont get into power like you say, voting them is not a bad idea but it will mean one less vote for Labour giving the Conservatives an easy ride.
Strategically speaking, i'd still go for Labour even though my hearts with Lib Dems.

I disagree i held that belief to
"they won't really get to power..
so its a waste of a vote.."
for the amount of people or us that have said that why don't we vote lib dems for once, that can change alot.
Like all partys i don't agree with some stuff of the lib dems but what zero said about anti war, uni fees, are issues that are close to my heart..so i think thats where my vote is going.
Also remember this year it shall be VERY close a chance of a hung parliment.. a hung parliament WILL give lib dems that tiny power...
I'm going to say Lib dems
But make it between Labour and Lib dems if you have to.

what he's getting at is say if 500 people thought might as well vote for lib dem instead of labour but deffo not conservatives then labour will have lost vital votes that prob won't make a diff to lib dem because they're quite small when compared to the other two so it's conservatives that get the advantage. basically wasting the votes, but as lib dem get bigger you don't know how they will change so imo we need to watch this space as they do get bigger, but they are the ones to look out for.

HOWEVER, remember that Labour got voted in twice even after the "war in terror". It shows how what mindset the people of Britain have regarding the "genocide"...
but Zero do u think the matters are going to get better or worse by having Cameron in power.
We need to vote tactically.

It's a possibility he will, but its a possibility he wont? Who knows how the votes have gone. Thats the same mentality that has been going on for years here; just vote either on of the two because the third has no chance. If people didnt fear and vote JUST so they can get their local MP's a liberal it could make a huge difference, it just depends how many people are game.
I wouldn't vote labour anymore until the party is cleansed of the blood from the wars. I'd rather vote Green Party than Labour now.
Exactly!!
Thats exactly how i passed my degree!!! lol Whereas the others that didnt listen to me in them days, saw on result day what i was talking about!!
Trust me! It's all about tactic, dont fall for the bait, things can change later... lets just win this game which is at hand first. Winning puts 'You!' at an advantage, giving you a better chance next time!

Zero You have made some very interesting/ valid points.
I really need to assess if I can trust Cameron or not and come to some agreement/understanding with myself that voting for Lib is not a waste of vote.
My thoughts so far:
Labour - war criminals
Conservatives - war criminals as they didn't appose the war. And I don't trust Cameron
Libs - Best/ fair party. But they wont come in power.

I'm against the war etc. but trust me voting in another party won't ever stop those kind of things because where there's money to be paid or power to be had it doesn't matter who the prime minister is the USA will influence when the army will be used and for what reasons. Therefore I am looking at the whole other picture, you will be kidding yourselves if you think that a smaller party gets in charge and will make drastic changes such as pulling all the troops out. Obama is the meant to be the most powerful man on earth and he wasn't even allowed to cancel funding towards private helicopters (to be used for himself and other important personnel) because other people in power rejected his idea and were against it, now that shows there are others who have a much bigger influence behind the scenes and are the real ones pulling the strings.
