But you guys need to remember this is not just ANY election because of how close it is and the public backlash at the moment against parliament, there is a chance of a hung parliament
BBC News - Q&A: What is a hung parliament?
So yes in a way we need to vote tactically..
I posted this link in the other thread: Hang 'em
but i liked it... it may not be good for business but it gives the 3rd party and any other small partys to make a change..

I was going to vote according to the indvigudal and my local MP stephen timms is actually quite nice..
(apart from the fact i debated him when i was 13 about top up fees when he came to our school, and so won) but i guess i lost in the end as checking his voting record he voted for the top up fees, voted FOR the war
and lately... THE DEBILL! something that got me quite mad? how can i vote in a MP? who thinks IP means intellectual property., oh andh his digital minster....

Incred check this site out:TheyWorkForYou.com: Are your MPs and Peers working for you in the UK's Parliament? Hansard++
And check your current MPs voting record if there restanding,

I've only even voted once in the whole 8 years I could have voted. When I tell people at work, they tell me off and say "People died so you could vote" and then they just go off on one but to be honest, I don't know much about politics so I am also in the same boat as Incredible!

Wait up. Let me get this straight. People are voting labour because its TACTICALLY good to vote labour? Eh? Since when was that tactics? Thats the same as voting for the sake of it or voting because you have to, even though the party that did so much damage to the world (literally) BECAUSE it's the lesser of the two evils (Labour vs Conservative). Is this the state of the democratic system today? Rome would've been displeased. You vote because you WANT to make a difference. You vote for what you feel is right. Lets not get too intricate here and come out with conspiracys how the system is corrupt and voting might be rigged and doing it just so X-party does not get in power. Point is Labour shouldn't GET anyone's vote because they LIED about Iraq and most probably Afghanistan and lied about the Kashmir Problem and lied about the Middle East Peace Process. Its not a question of whos voting for who because of what, its a question of who SHOULDNT get the vote, and I'd be damned if people vote Labour AGAIN. They should'nt GET your vote. And neither should conservative. Because even one seat lost will be a blow to any party regardless. I thought one mistake after the 2001 election was bad, but a second mistake? Only idiots make the same mistake twice.

The average 1st generation asian is in a bit of a predicament. On the one hand they want to vote for the party that processes the visa applications quicker (if their sons/daughters marry someone from back home)... but on the other hand this will be the same party which allows many other immigrants into Britain (eg Somalians) who in turn take their taxi and cornershop jobs.

I first had the opportunity to vote in 2001 when I was 18 but for some reason my name wasn't on the electoral register so I couldn't vote and I felt really left out.

In 2005 I voted Labour, but I won't be voting for them this time. No way. I'll probably vote for the Tories. I've become disillusioned with the naive liberal left. I'm swinging to the right now.

Ultimately there is no party that I agree with 100%, but I will never not vote.

UKIP is as right-wing as I'd go. Anything beyond that is beyond the pale.

I completely understand where you are coming from and that's what is making this vote such a difficult for me. Infact if I am totally honest I am talking about 50+ votes, who I will be encouraging to vote the same as me which inludes friends and family, so it isn't just my vote.

I will be checking those links by Cheeky in the morning
