Been discussing this with other students/work colleagues and it seems everyone has an opinion on what constitutes a respected degree and what makes a course "mickey mouse" and it can be a contraversial topic! Living in an time where everybody has an undergraduate degree, the value of obtaining one has decreased to new lows with employers looking for experience>academics.
What are the 3 most respected/best degrees for a student to embark upon at university? (in terms of workload/academic skills/career prospects/competetiveness/general perception/value to society etc).
IMO
1. Medicine/Dentistry/Vet Science
2. Law
3. Maths or Physics
-followed closely by Engineering(Chemical/Electrical/Mechanical), Economics, English and Philosophy.
So what does everyone think?
