Okay, you guys know we've been experimenting with rules. I think the time has come to finally settle it once and for all. With an official thread. I remember Titan saying yesterday that bunkering is a legitimate strategy, since you do have to hold your base down. Even after I brought in the No Rules, it's still possible to bunker up LOL. And if you're GLA, all the better to BUNKER.
When we had a 2v1 with Rob yesterday, it was a NR-5min, and he didnt' even have nothing, whereas GLA has a MASSIVE advantage over USA and even CHINA. Since EA games dared to make GLA so powerful early game and even mid/late game, the choice was ours to choose what we could be; however random has become to norm with us lot. Vanilla USA and Vanilla CHINA don't stand a chance against any GLA faction. That means NR-5 and NR-0 = FAIL for any army apart from GLA, excluding CHINA NUKE. So then NR-5 is basically fail as well then. As Erazor said, either you do standard 10K or 50K. Don't do some BS in the middle with the 20K. Same goes for timing then. Either you have the game standard of NR-10 or NR-0(rush allowed). I'm sure this is echoed by the rest of us? Some of us are still n00bs at the game and these days we're doing NR-5/NR-10/NR-15 on and off; its quite confusing. I've seen another thread by Kayz with rule matchups but I think they're a bit imbalanced and obviously know one does that anymore. So I'm bumping his topic in effect, but with an update.

So it comes to only three Rule matchups. "A" and "B":
Rule A
Basically rush allowed! No rules. Every single part of the game can be utilized. This includes: SW / Auroras / DB. Bunker at your peril.
This matchup is probably suited for the pr0's on TS. Or anyone else feeling zealous (me) to try and own someone on the sly with luck on your side lol.
*WITH THIS MATCHUP, YOU CAN CHOOSE YOUR ARMY UNLESS YOU WISH TO BE RANDOM*
STUDY SUGGESTS THAT THOSE WITH A STABLE MIND WILL MOST PROBABLY CHOOSE GLA OR CHINA INFANTRY
Everything allowed doesn't mean you can Scud Bug next man until he rage quits/cries/kills himself or herself/ uninstalls/ shuts the pc down and disembles every part and sells it on ebay etc.
Rule B
Basically no-rush 10. Yeah, bunkering is probably going to happen. Fair enough. As much as I loathe it, if its NR 10, that means its going to happen whether you like it or not. Theres only so much you can do within 10 mins. If you see a line of defence, take out the power with Auroras/DemoAmbush/SW. Yes in this matchup, its exactly the same as Rule A (all units/buildings are allowed) BUT with NR-10.
*WITH THIS MATCHUP, YOU CAN ONLY CHOOSE RANDOM*
If at any point a player on any team gets the spooks like his/her ass hairs are standin on end and bunkers up. You can use SW on him/her. Same shit applies. No Scud Bug.
Rule C
Basically the same as Rule B (NR-10) but with NO DB/AUR/SW(apart from upgrades). This is probably going to be more of a standard since no overpowered units are used.

I should say SW is allowed here too if any player decides bunker up like they're makin an israeli wall that disconnects them from palestine.

With ALL rule matchups, your unique unit IS ALLOWED in your opponents base at ANY TIME (obviously with NR-0, but even with NR-10 it SHOULD BE ALLOWED). So your Colonel Burton, Black Lotus & Jarmen kell can do some sneaking around. It's up to YOU to cover all sides of your base. This EXCLUDES workers; as they can tunnel up your nose and you're screwed.

...and thats it! THREE RULES to remember. When in game lobby, saying/typing Rule "X" is sufficient enough for other players to understand what's allowed and what's not.
