Please advise on suitable birthday present

Hi everyone, I am Russian nationality but my friend is Indian (Punjabi, Sikh). I was invited to her son's birthday party (we are very good friends as well as my kids with her kids). Birthday party is not only for her son but also husband (birthday dates close to each other). In my understanding (traditions and mentality the way I was brought up) I need to get presents to both. No issue to buy kids presents ;-) but have no idea about traditions/understandings of Indian/Punjabi and is it acceptable/not acceptable being friend of wife give present to husband? And what kind of gift is suitable in such case? I will not have time to go shopping (due to work) before birthday day, so need to order on-line. At the moment I chosen leather wallet with keyring set (its gift set, nice in box, quality brand). Or such present would be considered as too personal from point of Indian traditions/understandings.
If I get it wrong she will just play jokes on me probably (she knows I mean "no harm") but I would not want it to be understood in wrong way by her husband, her parents or any one else

P.S. we live in UK

just go to an indian sweet shop and get some sweets....indians, especially those of the punjabi variety love their sweets...some of them will prefer to have a jalebi instead of a lamborghini....or a ladoo instead of a lotus....u catch my drift?

thank you for suggestion. But I have no idea where are here such shops, I do not drive and will not have time to go shopping. Also I ever tasted Indian sweets once, so will not have idea what to choose. And not sure on idea of giving sweets as present to 30 years old man. I did see on many forums that give sweets as present in India common but I thought its more for kids,

I think I am not trying to do something Indian, just that I do not offend Indian traditions and understandings

the asian sweets are not the same sweets (candies) as you would buy from a corner shop. They are suitable for any occasion/ age.

Just google asian sweets shop/ centre in wales. you should find one close to you.
