    Default India Independence Day!




    Indias Independence Day is celebrated on 15th August to commemorate its independence from british rules and its birth as a sovereign nation on that day in 1947.

    The day is a national holiday in India, and is celebrated all over the country through flag-hoisting ceremony and distribution of sweets. the main celebration takes place in New Delhi..where the Prime Minister raises the national flag at the Red Fort and delivers a nationally televised speech from its ramparts.

    Has ne 1 been to India when it's been independence day? what are the celebrations and that like coz i haven't

    Its awesome there's loads of kite flying and stuff and parades, its good fun!! Just like Holi!!

    yeh same ere! but here in Aus we all celebrate Australia day which is also wikid!!

    I really wanna see Independance day there, funnily enough the day that it was independance day was the day we left India in one of my trips.
