Yeh it allows countries with a name, but it doesnt allow pride.

Yeah which is what I said in my post much earlier. There is nothing wrong with admiring and loving your homeland but there isn't any place for pride.

i totally agree, some 'pakistanis' do have a problem, they are way to ignorant.
jinnah has done eff all for pakistan, look at pakistan today, is that what the best politician has done for muslims? his vision was great, a total salesman, any door to door salesman would inspire from him.

reality check, he was on the payroll from mountbatten nd the british cronies, nd before we hear that riots would have broken out between sikhs hindus nd muslims, if jinnah didnt create a state, bullshit. before the brits got into india, all 3 faiths lived side by side, but as with great british policies (divide nd rule) all 3 faiths took it hook line nd sinker, the brits create the drama, str the pot, until it gets to boiling point, step back nd watch it all explode, then promote puppets to be saviours, exactly what happened with jinnah nd co. (similar scenario in iraq with sunnis nd shias, same policy works today)

cheekymeeky: just coz it says islamic republic of pakistan on a paki passport doesnt make it a islamic state.
u cant have 10 different islamic states, if there can only be one caliph.
sharia may be implemented in bits, but not in full. if there was sharia nd a islamic state, i could promise u, muslims wouldnt be in such a shithole today.

I didn't say anywhere that Pakistan is a full Islamic state. There isn't one state that can be described as such.

The problem here is that I have my views and you have yours. After many debates over this same issue I have come to learn that you can never see eye to eye so I'll agree to disagree. The only thing I will say is that there has never been peace and harmony amongst religions anywhere in the world at any one time and there never will be. But to be honest I would rather be a Pakistani Muslim rather than an Indian Muslim and be in no mans land.

There is no Muslim representation in India - or not enough anyway. I don't want to belong to a country that cancels out a huge majority of their population and calls itself Hindustan. As much as Pakistan and many other countries who describe themselves as Islamic have their faults, I feel comfort in the fact that at the end of the day it is still a Muslim state.

I know I'm being petty and perhaps even quite silly but as an individual its just comforting is all. I mean I'd rather take PIA as they do the duaa before the plane takes off. All quite petty yes, but just comfort to me.

    When Islam was still new.

Today is a different day - those glorious times can never be recaptured in our life time at least.

Do you think the teachings should be adjusted for this new age then?
