i was playing yesterday.. and at first i was getting kicked alot.. but dat stopped ... but then i was jus laggin.. runnin slow etc..

its your ping man... usually the people who are capable of playin cs have their ping at 50 range..yours tops over a 100!!

Yea i tried helping him... his ping goes up and down.. then one time his ping was low which was good but he was warping man... so i assumed it was his graphics card as it ahd to be! even though hes settigs are set low.. it still happens for some reason,.

in ur console make sure u have the following settings.

to get the console up make sure ur console is enabled ingame. to do this u go to:

options>keyboard controls (or something like tht)>advanced options and tick the check boxes for enable console and fast switch.

then once ur ingame type the following

rate 16000

cl_updaterate 60.0

cl_cmdrate 60.0

cl_weather 1 (this switches off all of the wweather funcs in some maps to make the gameplay run smoother, thts if u have a shit gfx)

fps_max 300.0 (this determines the max number of frames per sec u can have at any one time)

net_graph 3 (this is just basically a little readout on the bottom of ur right hand side of the screen showing u in real time wat ur actual fps is and ur ping and choke and so forth, its verry handy as the the one in game is delayed by about 10 secs)

omg the new features on cs are so gay... i normally switch between weapons real quick but now its like you get boxes on top and you gotta select them..

probably need some practice but thats one thing i don't like.. they added shadows.. was that there before? ..i dunno but cs maps look more sharpened or is it just me?

erm..looks different.. probably single player missions and not the multiplayer one.. ask the staff at the store u go to for counter strike source..
