    Default Culture and Religion Clash

Isn't it annoying when your culture clashes with religion???

like for example pakistanis have the whole khattam (praying together) thing .... where as some people say it wrong in islam .... my mate always argues about that to me... i just stay confused.....

also i think weddings have the biggest clash..... the mendie rasam some say thats wrong in islam......

i dunno bein so young i wonder a lot.. i would choose relgion over culture any day and i think most people whould but then it's like you forgetting your culture... hmmmm i dunno i guess sometimes you have 2 comporomise.....

what culture clash have you expirenced with your religion?

Khatam is not wrong from what i know, we done two khatams after my grandfather passed away last week.

Wedding do cause a whole culture clash, first of all the men and women should be seperate something that does not always happen. Music is always played, another cultural thing which clashes with religon.

Only one thing is certain--that is, nothing is certain.
If this statement is true, it is also false.

I dont think khattam is bidat from what I know....

Um mehndi....depends on how strict you are with religion...people that usually are that strict to say that mehndi isnt allowed are those who follow the strict teachings.
Mehndi isnt really neccesary for a marriage either. Its only the Nikah and Ruxity (or however you spell it). Just that desis go over the top with their extended weddings.

its not a big difference in our family either...end of the day at weddings its mainly friends and family...not like you have complete strangers who dont feel comfortable mixing with people.....

Culture is just the way people act in a certain area. And its what makes people unique.

But you cant mix religion and culture. If you do then innovation occurs.
