there are many reasons why the lower class of people in india refrain from contraception ...or even avoid producing any more babies...

if you've been to india u'll see slums and all..in those slums u'll see families with like 6-7 kids running around...the reasons for having those many kids could vary from

"oh, she's a girl, we need to try again so that a boy can be born in this family"

"we reproduce this much because we need our children to support us" more children = more bread winners in the family...

many more reasons like that
