it was pretty obvious what happened, they just gave it a little more mystique in order to make you question ur own understanding of what happened

I thought that was what happened anyway, didn't really consider his own world to be the true picture. If they did want you to assume his own reality was the real story then they would've left a lot more clues imo but it was always set up for him to get to the light house and meet the doctor. At the end some people might think he really did turn delusional again but the way he worded the last couple of lines and his look it seemed he was still sane but didn't want to live with the thoughts that were real i.e. his children dying and killing his wife. So he made it look out like he still thought he was a detective and would be put down thinking he died as a good man with a respectable life (the detective memories).

But you lot is discussin it like there's some confusion to the truth. It was wrapped up in the end. And I'm so glad I ignore these sorta threads. Spoiler cumshottin' bukakki-ing it.

Films only quality if its worth to be discussed after. Unlike Transformers 2. Which was probably just seen 'cause it had a fox in it.
yeah I thought it was clear in the end as well but it wasn't definitive because he could've just been in reality for that moment or still stuck in his world whilst realising he will never fully come out of it. although I stick by what I thought some people are still left pondering.
anyway, go see Inception, it's a bit similar and another great movie! both classics imo. Leonardo deffo upped his value as an actor in them two films.
Both have lasting affects, and that's the type of shit which makes the 2-3 hours of your time worthwhile watching it unlike a bolly film lol.
