I would assume staying in the main city areas is your best bet and avoid Brooklyn?

Yep I've been to NYC. It really is AMAZING
Stayed in a little hostel called the Manhattan Inn Hostel
And its only like a 2 minute walk to Madison Square Garden and lots of little restaurants around. There's a little corner shop by the hostel (owned by Indians/Bengalis/Pakistanis) obviously! lol..Quite a friendly neighbourhood..Speak in your mother tongue to them, you get a discount lol..simple as that

Its a 10mins walk from the hostel to the Empire State Building (which is pretty cool)

So overall..Your not very far from the places you'd like to go to

You can expect the price to be around 25-30 quid a night? Just depends when your going and stuff like that

Ooooh oooh and the hostel has a terrace where you can just go up there, have your breakfast and whatnot and enjoy the city view

Cool, I'm thinking of going NYC maybe next year as this year we went to LA & Vegas! Also thinking of going to Jamaica or one of the islands near there, if anyone has been let me know what's good and where the best place to stay is travelwise and for sightseeing!
