Default Open University

Hey Hey

Was just wondering if anyone's done module's or even a whole degree with Open University?

For those of you who don't know what it is, it's like when you study uni modules or degree's on your own. One of those they give you the resources, and and allocate you a tutor and your given a deadline, and you just basically do it all independantly.

Basically they've also got a yass system. Which is the Young Applicants in Schools and Colleges Scheme. It's for 6th former's who want to do uni module's along side their A level's. It's paid for you and you can choose when you want to start and end the course.

I've been offered to do it, and I'm considering it, but wondering if it's worth it. So if anyone knows anything about it, let me know

I take it you've been offered it and your college is going to pay it for you?. Its an excellent oppurtunity as long as it doesnt affect your college studies. It also depends how many modules they're paying for and what degree it is. I'm sure they wouldn't have offered it you if they didnt think you were capable of doing it.

On a brighter note, not to belittle you or steal your thunder. My mans got 23 A levels my maaaaannn...

Yeh, my school will pay for the fee's. When your in 6th form you don't do the whole degree.. that would take you forever. But you do a module, and then hand it in, and then you can stop at that, or do another one after that etc. You need something like 360 points for a full degree.. But most module's are only 10 points. Hmm. Gotta think of what to do it in too.

OMG. Bladdy hell. . WOW.
