Who belives in this theory. That opposites attract. i.e bigger guys find skinny chix shexy where as the skinny ones like biggger/ curvy chicks? same for you ladies on here

I tend to believe like attracts like. So I can't say I agree with the opposites attract theory.

I can't remember who did the study, but it's called teh Five Factor Theory of InterPersonal Attraction... (I think).

It makes most sense.

i like men who are similar personality wise..funny,edgy,mysterious,he's got to have an edge to him,something different appeals.

generally,i know of couples like for like.
cant think of any opposites really.

Hmm, what is that rule of physics.... two positive fields do not produce energy however a positive and a negative can make sparks fly!

Anyway, my own view on this one is that if you want to have a solid relationship with someone then you've got to have common ground. If your lifestyles and views are very opposite then it's not going to work but surely that's just common sense... right...

I'm not saying that there can't be any differences though, I think it's good to have those to a certain extent and being compatible with another person should not mean being clones of each other. I just think it is really important that the two of you share significant common ground on the things that really matter or else you shall be heading in different directions.

I prefer girls who are like me but not totally like me, you have to have some differences otherwise your relationship will be boring. A good balance of likes and dislikes, similarities and differences and so on works perfectly!

I have all that with my GF which is why we go so well together...
