confused about where to take this.

he rang me back eventually last thursday..

he apologised for not getting back to me sooner..was on call/things were tense with family

he explained that he was happy with the way things were going but because of how the conversation went when we met up he thought I was hinting to him I wasn't interested.

he said 'firstly i was shocked when u said u hadn't come to a decision regarding us,i was under the impression you had said yes..and when u discussed location with me I felt it was a conversation we should have had later down the line..i couldn't understand why you were so blunt and adamant about certain things,thought u were hinting to me that ur not interested'..

he also said 'regardless of what I thought about everything I want u to understand I'd never string a family along with the wrong intentions.i have a sister myself,and i always think twice about how id want my sister to be treated by a guy...things were going good,we both needed to put more effort which is what I wanted to do but felt I was being pushhed to make a decision when I didn't really know u'

he lives in town..parents don't live here,he said he needs to sort things out with his parents.I think his parents are not talking to him from what I gather...

I told him ..regardless of my nani ringing to refuse the proposal last week, i like him,and that i'd be willing to give it time and get to know him properly..he didn't really give me a straight answer about where he wants to take this.
so i told him to sort things out with his mum,and have a think about whether he wants to take this further,and let me know.

its been a few days,i havent really heard much.i dropped him a casual text the other night to which he happily replied. but i dont know where i stand.

should i give it time and wait for his response, or make more effort with him?

That's my honest opinion after reading your threads.

FFS, he's a man, not a bloody kid. He should by now be able to make a decision - a simple yes or a no. And why was his nan/mom crying? If not you, someone else and vice-versa for you. No one is gonna die!

I'm might sound harsh, but just being honest.

There is no waiting time. If you click, you click and if you don't, you don't and it's that simple. If he's still unsure when a girl has told him she likes him, I think you should've decided then and there.

Is he still attached to his old fling and is this a pressure wedding from his family's side? - Before saying no, ask him this question.

I have couple of other reasons but I don't want to be a spoilt sport in someone's marriage and ruin it. Ask him about his past and stuff and you might get your answers.

In most cases the best thing to do is just "Move on"

And dont believe the fairy tale saying "you'll only love once" "hold on"
because it aint true. You can love again. If you try.

No point loving some one who aint worth it though. Easier said then done.
