NEWCASTLE boss Glenn Roeder paid an emotional tribute to Celestine Babayaro for the defender's part in the victory over Liverpool just hours after his brother's death.
The Nigerian was devastated when his younger brother lost his battle against tuberculosis on Friday night.
Babayaro helped the Magpies fight their way back from Craig Bellamy's sixth-minute opener to clinch three precious points.
Obafemi Martins levelled on 26 minutes with his 12th goal of the season after Jose Reina blasted a clearance into Daniel Agger, and Nolberto Solano won it with a 69th-minute penalty awarded for John Arne Riise's trip on Steven Taylor.
Roeder said: "I know exactly how Celestine feels because I did the same the day my father died. That's why I waited for him particularly when he came off the pitch at the end.
