how it's nonsense ? The average score batting first in India is 350. Around the world it's 250. Everyone in cricket knows how batsmen friendly India make their pitches cos of the fact they haven't produced a single world class seam bowler since Kapil Dev. That's not even me saying that as a Pakistani fan, that's a fact. In fact it used to piss me of that Pakistan didn't produce pitches(when cricket was played in Pakistan)to suit their strengths the way other teams do.

Okay so you're asking which bit of your previous post was nonsense. Firstly you wouldn't be able to make a century even if the bounderies were 1 meter radious from you. Secondly Tendulker didn't make the century against Bangladesh, Zimbabwe, Ireland or a county team. he made it against a top South African team. Finally if it is so easy to make runs on them pitches, why hasn't any other batsman made over 200 prior to him?

Tendulker isn't over rated. He is a top batsman! I rate hm on the same level as Viv richards, if not better! This is also coming from a Pakistan fan.

"Viv Richards could terrorise an attack with pitiless brutality, Lara could dissect bowlers with surgical and magical strokes, Tendulkar can take an attack apart with towering simplicity. From the start he had an uncanny way of executing his strokes perfectly. Tendulkar was born to bat,"

what do you make that assumption based on? lol I can comfortably hit boundaries on 60-70 metre pitches

There was a time when even reaching to 125 in ODI was a milestone. Now we see batsmen crossing 150 mark time and time again. It was just the matter of time before someone got . It was just he matter of "when"and not "if". Not only are the pitches in India overly batsmen friendly, we now have the 'power plays' which gives teams and extra 20-30 runs per innings.

The way cricket is now much more of a batsmen's game(particularly after the Introduction of Twenty20) I wouldn't be surprised if 2 or 3 more players got double centuries in the 50 over format this year. It actually bores me now how much of a non-contest it is between batsmen and bowler nowadays.

I'm not talking about Brian Lara or the Ashes on PS3

Why hasn't anybody made 200 prior to Tendulker then? if it so easy? come on man it isn't that difficult of a question to answer. Don't tell me the pitches have just got recently easy to play on because that is weak, even by your standards.

All the top cricketers and batsman have played on all the top and 'batsman friendly' pitches, still it took this long and 36? yr old Tendulkar to be the first to do it, against a top class team too.

I found out yesterday that a dude who runs a local cricket team around here played alongside Tendulkar when he come over to play for Yorkshire, that's sick. 1st overseas player as well, which goes to show he had the mentality of a winner even at that early age, wasn't afraid.
