It's not you that I'm angry/upset with.
...I just think that all my conversations with Little One and my little sister will prove useless, 'cause there's no point in them going through Higher Education.
Well, they don't even have that chance now.
I sure as hell can't afford to put them through education.

Why can't they get student loans like the rest of us? Yes the fees going up is off putting, I'm in crazy amount of debt but maybe the outcome is worth it?

What's the point in being in debt all your life?
A lot of the kids who are contemplating loans are justifying it by not wanting to aim for higher paid jobs.

Hopefully the parents will see sense and move out of this country.
If not, I'm hoping to be out of here in five years' time, and I'm taking my Little One with me.

So are you basically saying it wasn't worth me going to uni? I spent 3 years working my ass off to get where I am but the debt will clear in time, I always knew what I wanted to do and didn't let the issue of money get in the way. I believe the hard work will pay off in the end =)

They would solve the problem of removing those degrees that are a waste of time and making sure that college and other practical, vocational, NON-UNI type of qualifications are suitably advertised for Post 16 options.

I don't know where people got the idea that Uni is for everyone and people should all go to uni. Heck no. If they did remove these degrees, then a lot of them would gain more value to them and obviously Employers would raise the prices (or effectively, starting salaries) so it's easier to pay of larger amounts of debt. They disregard a lot of degrees as it is because Uni is such a joke now with bloody Golf Management.

I agree with some points, a lot of degrees are pretty useless and pointless. It's just a way of making money off as much young and eager students as possible. A lot of degrees have less value than having works experience in the specific subject.
